All nominees will be evaluated by the Judging Committee using the following five core criteria. Please consider these areas when writing your nomination statement, and include specific examples when possible:
Impact
How has the nominee made a measurable difference?
Examples include: launching successful initiatives, improving processes, mentoring others, fundraising, or providing direct support that benefited Tuskegee University, WTAC, or the community.
Alignment with Values
How does the nominee embody the mission, vision, and spirit of Tuskegee and the Washington Tuskegee Alumni Club?
Look for qualities like integrity, service, academic excellence, school pride, or commitment to empowerment.
Leadership / Initiative
How has the nominee taken charge, inspired others, or created positive change?
This could include founding programs, organizing events, stepping up during challenges, or leading peers by example.
Community Engagement
How has the nominee engaged with others to build community and strengthen connections?
Consider collaboration, volunteerism, public advocacy, or consistent involvement in Tuskegee or WTAC efforts.
Sustainability / Consistency
Has the nominee shown dedication over time, or was their impact short-lived?
Long-term involvement, reliability, and consistent excellence will be recognized in this area.
The more clearly you can illustrate how your nominee meets these criteria, the stronger their consideration will be during the judging process.
