Below are the important dates and deadlines for this year’s Washington Tuskegee Alumni Club, Inc. Annual Awards. This timeline outlines each stage of the nomination, voting, judging, and recognition process — leading up to the live announcement of award winners at the Scholarship Breakfast.

Member Nomination Period Begins: July 1st at 12:00 AM ET (start of day)
This is the start for members to submit nominations for any award category.
Member Nomination Period Ends: July 15th at 11:59 PM ET (end of day)
This is the deadline for members to submit nominations for any award category. Only nominations received by this date will be reviewed and considered for finalist selection.
Membership Voting Begins (Finalizes Top 3 Finalists per Category): July 22nd at 12:00 AM ET (start of day)
Finalist voting begans for the membership, WTAC members will vote to help determine the top 3 finalists in each award category. Finalist selection is based on member input and voting tallies.
Membership Voting Ends (Finalizes Top 3 Finalists per Category): August 6 st at 11:59 PM ET (end of day)
This concludes membership voting and input on finalists.
Finalists Contacted & Confirmed: as soon as possible after voting
Nominees with the highest scores will be contacted to confirm availability and attendance. This step ensures finalists can be recognized and, where applicable, receive bonus consideration for participating in the ceremony.
Committee Judging Completed: by August 30th
Judging Committee members will score each finalist using a standardized rubric. Final decisions are based on scoring, discussion, and attendance confirmation.
Winners Announced: at the Scholarship Breakfast on Saturday, October 3rd
Winners in each award category will be publicly announced and recognized during the WTAC Scholarship Breakfast. All finalists will be celebrated for their contributions.
